Law School of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology was founded in September 1997. Thorough ten years’ development and whole faculty’s endeavor, law school has compiled considerable education force and become a potential influential department. With 10 years’ development and all faculties’ endeavor, Law School realized three steps: recruiting scope from junior college students to bachelors, from bachelors to masters.
Development of our school should be taken under the background of total prosperity of legal academia. Our school has a Legal Study Centre, a Procedural Law Study Centre, six teaching and research chamber: Legal Theory Chamber, Constitution and Administration Law Chamber, Criminal Law Chamber, Civil Law Chamber, Procedural Law Chamber, and Economic and Ecology Law Chamber, and our school has 35 professional teachers and 4 professors, 5 associate professors and 14 tutors, among which there are 26 masters and a doctoral candidate. Our school was authorized to recruit masters of procedure laws in 2002, and we have three professors, and four associate professors, in which there is one doctoral candidate and four masters, in our tutor group, which is a potential and creative research team, and meanwhile engaged well-known jurist, professor of Peoples’ University, doctoral tutor, who offers guidance to our research team sufficiently.
Our Law School emphasizes quality of bachelors’ education and moreover and fosters students’ competence of practice. Judicial Stimulated Environment is a prominent characteristic among our bachelor education institutions, which could stimulate students to learn knowledge they are especially interested in, raise professional judiciary specialists, and favors in graduates’ employment. For training students’ competence of eloquence, our school strengthens students’ oral practice and established a stimulated court and has 2 courts and 2 procuratorates and 6 law offices as education practical bases. Our school’s postgraduate education focuses on two directions: research methodology and research competence, hard work has ripened our schools’ achievements and mellowed our fruits.
